Jacques Janvier (formerly LIZARD) is a Brussels-based band made up of six friends whose music blends electro, post-punk, and cold wave—all in French. Kraftwerk, La Femme, Bloc Party, and Eloi are among their stated influences, which Jacques Janvier incorporates in their own unique way: uninhibitedly and without taking themselves too seriously.

The band is currently working on its first EP, *Bobby Cow-Boy*, set for release in spring 2027—five tracks that refine a distinctly French electro-rock aesthetic, all while embracing a joyful stylistic mishmash. Because if there’s one thing that defines Jacques Janvier, it’s this ability to bring together styles that have no business being together and forge an identity out of them: a sound that’s danceable, rock, and robotic all at once, as if straight out of a futuristic Wild West set right in the heart of Brussels.

Bobby Cow-Boy evokes precisely that chaos: that of an absurd, unpredictable city—at once familiar and completely offbeat—an ideal playground for a band fueled more by energy than by superficial coherence.

After months of fine-tuning this project in the studio, Jacques Janvier now has only one desire: to take the stage and bring that chaos to life in a live performance.
